Lena is an outstanding real estate agent. Over 40 years I have used 19 real estate agents in California, Nevada, and Virginia, and Lena is the best I have worked with. She recently handled a lengthy and complicated sell-side transaction for me in Oakland (Downtown Lake Merritt Cooperative condo unit). The transaction required significant financial, marketing and selling skills, and Lena demonstrated creativity, energy, great attention to detail, and determination throughout the 6-month process. Some details - Market Analysis: I typically perform my own market analysis before choosing an agent to list with. Lena suggested a listing price that exactly matched my own. (In contrast, a year ago an agent in San Francisco initially suggested a listing price $180,000 below the price my condo actually sold for.) Preparation for listing: Lena did an excellent job sourcing and managing numerous vendors (wall & counter damage, repainting, carpet cleaning, electrical, etc.) for repairs needed due to the actions of the previous occupants. She has an excellent Rolodex! Marketing/presentation: Lena did an excellent job coordinating and managing the staging firm and the photographer/videographer. She also conducted all necessary Broker Tours and Open Houses working with the building’s “fussy” management organization. Building issue management: The building was actively promoting a large special assessment as well as being embroiled in a significant lawsuit. Lena did an excellent job communicating this information so that all prospective buyers were informed of the details before they even made an offer to buy. Negotiation: Lena sold the unit for its full asking price with minimal contingencies. All contingencies were promptly resolved.
